[00:00:44] Welcome back. Oh, my gosh. I feel like it’s been a minute since I’ve recorded a podcast episode, I was recording a podcast. And releasing one every other Friday. And [00:01:00] I think for the last couple of months I was releasing one, like every week, I think I released one like twice a week, one time. So I took a little bit of a pause and we back we are back.
[00:01:13] This actually wasn’t planned to be the podcast episode for today, but. I am so inspired by. All of the conversations that I’ve been having on Instagram today, because it’s Sunday, I’m recording this. From my bed. And today I had the Sunday scaries. I got them from time to time. If you don’t know what the Sunday scaries are, it is where, you know, the weekend. Hi has sort of come down and you are kind of dreading Monday or dreading, like the work week. It could be a little bit of like a bittersweet kind of day where you have a lot of feelings around it.
[00:01:55] I had a really stressful week. Last week, I had a lot of things going on, [00:02:00] in my personal life, my health, And at work as well. For those of you that don’t know, I also work. In a corporate job, as well as doing rebuilding you and her heart heals and all the things. So it was just a lot.
[00:02:15] It was a lot, and my body felt really rundown. And so I made the decision to. Just take a weekend for myself. I didn’t go anywhere. I didn’t see anyone. I just kept to myself this weekend and I really just focused on my self care and letting myself. Just be with all of my feelings. And so it was a really beautiful. Weekend.
[00:02:47] I slept in. Both on Saturday and Sunday. And it was nice. It was really nice. I got a lot of stuff done.
[00:02:55] Part of that was, uh, today. Picking up on the Sunday [00:03:00] scaries, right? Because it was such a nourishing weekend. That I was kind of like.
[00:03:05] Now I have to go back to. Reality, if you will, right. There’s appointments that I have and deadlines that I have to meet and projects that I’m working on and all kinds of stuff. Right? All my meetings start on Mondays and all the things. So the Sunday scaries come when I just kind of want to hang on and saver my weekend a little bit longer. Like I said, I don’t get them all the time because, if I’m in a flow, then weekends just kind of blend into my weekend.
[00:03:39] And I don’t really notice it, but. Today I did. And so I figured that I would do a Sunday reset. On myself. That we’re going to get my vibes. Pumped and ready for the week and really get my mindset right. And kind of cure my Sunday scaries [00:04:00] and I shared everything that I did. On Instagram, on my stories.
[00:04:05] A lot of you guys followed along with me and. Gave me some feedback too, about like things that I was doing, or like little hacks that I did. And so. Aye. Was like, you know what, I’m gonna document this. I’m gonna put this on an episode. And then that way, if you ever have the Sunday scaries, you can save this episode, come back to it. Hopefully get some inspiration from it. And realize that you’re not alone and we all. Have this feeling.

Where I’m going with the goals that I have in mind with the progress that I’m looking to make. And I’ve really come to a place in my life where. I know how to cut through the bullshit and reset myself. So that I can bounce back.
[00:05:42] I’m not spending, weeks or months in a funk. I can move myself out of things. Pretty quickly, given like a lot of the tools that I’ve rebuilt, I’ve built for myself over time.
[00:05:55] Pro-tip. The universe responds to us. [00:06:00] And matches what we put out. It’s the law of vibration.
[00:06:05] Like attracts, like. We will only receive what we are ready to receive. And so we really have to act accordingly. And so in all of my years of work, and this is actually something that I teach. All of my clients. If you guys are inside of any of my programs, this is a really big thing that we work through is the law of vibration of how we are showing up mentally, energetically, emotionally, spiritually, all the levels.

I love combining habits with things that are sort of like. Normal and boring with like unique and fun ways to do things that will help you to also get like spiritually and energetically aligned.
[00:09:39] So I do a lot of habit stocking with. All of my actions that I do. Um, and I also want to tell you. Everything that I did today is not by any means. Like a half to do. Uh, this is really. Today was a pretty full [00:10:00] day. Have a lot of different activities because I gave myself this whole day to literally do it all. And every Sunday does not look like this.
[00:10:11] So. Please do not take this as, as law, um, you know, pick and choose whatever inspires you or don’t do any of it. It’s totally up to you. It’s totally fine. Um, but yeah, because today was so full. That’s why I decided to do a podcast episode. Cause I was like, I gotta just like, get this all out, so okay.
[00:10:34] let’s get into what I did. For today for this Sunday. Scary. I mean, how can we start without taking in some tunes? Right. I love Spotify so much. I’m not endorsed by them at all, but Spotify makes the best playlist and I actually just typed in feel good Sunday. And it gave me a customized [00:11:00] playlist. I started out my day. Playing this playlist. It was a bunch of songs that put me in a great mood.
[00:11:07] I started there. I had it playing throughout the house. And then I. Threw myself in the shower and I did an everything shower. And everything. Shower is amazing. because I have curly hair I don’t wash my hair every day. I do a double cleanse hair wash. Conditioner all that jazz. I did a face scrub in there. I shaved my legs and then I did this really cool manifesting hack. That I like to do. And that is when I’m in the shower and the water is flowing down. I just envisioned all of the energetic. Negative vibes that have attached to me are all flowing down the drain. So it’s a really cool thing that I [00:12:00] like to do. It’s you know, like I said, with habit stacking, if you’re already in the shower, may as well. Do something that’s going to help you cleanse energetically.
[00:12:10] And so I really love doing this.
[00:12:13] Did my everything shower. And then after that I did a quick home reset. I don’t ever like to do like full, deep cleanings when I’m doing a Sunday scary routine. Because. Deep cleaning becomes like. Just not fun for me. So that is not like a feel-good. Thing, but a quick home reset sounds a lot more pleasant.
[00:12:41] It’s fast. It’s something where you can see. Results right away. So here’s what a quick home reset looked like for me today. Any other day, it could have been something else, but for me today, it looked like a vacuum. Because, you know, I have dogs, so I vacuum [00:13:00] pretty often. Vacuumed my whole house. I did a bed refresh.
[00:13:04] That means I changed the sheets. I made my bed. Opened up the blinds and then I spritzed this really yummy. Linen spray that I have from Lullabot and it’s sand tall 33. It is so Luxe. It. Smells like an expensive hotel. And then I also organized one small thing. Noticed, I didn’t say cleaned out my pantry or anything like that.
[00:13:32] I organized one small thing. And today, because I did an everything shower, I noticed that my shower caddy was like looking a little full. With a lot of things that I’ve kind of accumulated like conditioners that I don’t use anymore. So I organized my shower caddy. And the reason why I love organizing one small thing is because it has such a positive effect.
[00:13:58] Mentally, [00:14:00] whenever you organize something. And you are throwing out with no longer serves you. You’re opening up that space. You’re creating space, for things that do serve you. And also reducing clutter. Really helps with mental clarity. I always try to do some organization thing, whether that’s even just like going through my mail.
[00:14:24] That’s one thing. If I’m putting away the dishes, that’s something else. So I always try to do like. One organization thing. when I’m feeling in a funk, it helps to bring me mental clarity. I don’t know, it works for me. Really cultivating your space and treating it like a sanctuary, treating it as a safe place. And a [00:15:00] place that you can feel safe and comfortable enough to do. Your rituals and all of the special things to allow your home, to really hold space for you to be at any stage.
[00:15:14] It’s so important to. Treat your home like a sanctuary because our home sees so many things that we go through and it holds us, creates this space for us to do all the things. [00:15:39] Okay. So after I was done with my home reset, I paused because Stevie wonder came on that playlist. I had a little dance moment. Me and the dogs just danced around. They actually like love music. And so when I go and dance in the living room, they dance with me and their tails bag and [00:16:00] we just have so much fun.
[00:16:00] So definitely going into the Sunday, scary cures because that put me in a great mood. And then afterwards I blow dried my hair. I gave myself a blowout, which is so nice because it’ll last me like four, five years.
[00:16:16] So I blow dried my hair. And then I went out for a drive. Me and my other dog Coby got into the car and we went for a drive.
[00:16:26] We continued with that same playlist, the feel-good Sunday mix. And we took a drive to the park and we had the windows rolled down and we were singing. We were vibing. I was giving him treats and I just let. Like the breeze. Hit my face and my hair. Flying everywhere. And it just, it was so nice. I love to drive.
[00:16:55] Even if it’s just like to go to the store really quickly. But [00:17:00] going for a drive. Resets me for sure. Like it does something to me. So definitely have to include that. In this list for today. So we went for a walk at the park and had just like the nicest walk. There was nobody there.
[00:17:16] We had the whole park to ourselves. And so that was great. We spent some time I put my phone away. And really connected in nature now. Connecting in nature is like a whole other. Manifestation hack for you guys. They’re stressed. Something about like the shift in perspective that we have, like in nature, there’s so many other things that are happening. That make us kind of take our attention, shift our perspective. And just start to be aware of like the hummingbirds that are flying and the butterflies that are going from tree to tree.
[00:17:55] Just being curious about that or seeing like the leaves [00:18:00] come in on trees where this is now their season to bloom and. And noticing all these other things that take me out of my thought pattern of like, I gotta do this, I gotta do this, this project, whatever.
[00:18:16] So getting in nature is a must. First Sunday, scaries. So we came back home. And I did another habit stocking thing, and that is. I put on a training. I have a business coach that I’m working with and she’s got a lot of video trainings. So I sat down, I put on one of the video trainings on my laptop. And I gave myself a gel manicure.
[00:18:44] It had been a minute since I gave myself a manicure and my nails needed it really bad. So this was just really nice, like. I was taking my time. I was doing something that was like self care, but like also beauty related. And I was learning at [00:19:00] the same time and I was getting really inspired. I was coming up with. All kinds of ideas of, for her heart heals and some of the things that I’m working on. So that was awesome.
[00:19:11] And now I have my nails done and that’s going to last me for like two weeks. So that was like a major habit stacking activity right there. And then I closed out the day with like eating some yummy food. And normally I don’t like to cook. When I’m having the Sunday scaries, but I happen to have just like some yummy food, like ready to prepare.
[00:19:38] So I just made that really quickly. And, um, Watched the Mr. Rogers movie with Tom Hanks watched a little bit of that. And got into bed and looked at all the stuff that I have to do this week and like really started doing my to-do list. And I was actually [00:20:00] like, Excited about it. It went from dread this morning. Two. Just being excited about.
[00:20:08] What I’m working on and it was so invigorating.
[00:20:12] And that’s how I knew that my Sunday scaries reset activities worked, because now. I’m here. I’m recording my podcast. And I’m just in the best mood. And I feel like I’m going to get the most restful night’s sleep and ready to start Monday with a clear head. A clear vision for what I want to accomplish, how I want to show up this week and just like ready to show up and play the game. You know, telling the universe, like put me in, I’m not playing on the sidelines anymore.
