Life after divorce can be a challenging journey. We find ourselves juggling responsibilities, adapting to new routines, and facing the uncertainties of the future. It’s easy to get caught up in the daily grind and forget the importance of play and fun in our lives. But here’s a secret that can be a game-changer: embracing play can be a powerful tool in manifesting the life you desire.

Creating Space for Play and Manifestation

I recently went through my own “moving slowly” phase after my divorce. Like many, I initially thought I couldn’t afford to take time for play. But then, I realized that allowing myself moments of joy and adventure was the key to designing a life I truly love.

Play isn’t just about goofing around; it’s about experiencing life with all your senses. Here’s why it’s essential and how it can help you manifest your dream life after divorce:

Test Drive Your Dreams:

This weekend, I test drove a Porsche Taycan, which is for me, a symbol of luxury and aspiration. It was SO much fun. Not only fun but it allowed me to physically try on my dream. Engage all of my 5 senses AND solidify my visualizations by making them REAL.

Testing out your dreams can be a game-changer because it brings your desires from imagination into reality. It’s about feeling, seeing, and experiencing your dream to the fullest. This not only makes your goals more tangible but also helps you identify what you truly desire.

Expand Your Reality:

Play allows you to step into an expansive reality where the possibilities are endless. By experiencing the joy and fulfillment of play, you’re likely to be more open to new variations of life and desires. It can broaden your perspective and help you discover opportunities you might have overlooked otherwise.

Break Free from Limiting Beliefs:

Many of us, especially divorced women, carry a heavy mental load and responsibilities. It’s easy to become trapped in the everyday grind, thinking that certain dreams and aspirations are out of reach. Play challenges these limiting beliefs. It reminds us that we can have fun trying on the ‘what if’s’ and break free from the chains of self-doubt.

The Risks of Neglecting Play

When we don’t make room for play, we risk staying in the same place for years, wondering why we can’t seem to move forward. We tell ourselves stories about how certain dreams and desires aren’t meant for us, or worse, we settle into survival mode, accepting mediocrity as our fate.

But here’s the truth: you have the power to design a life you love, and meaningful play is your secret weapon. It’s a reminder that you are worthy of moments of joy, and you don’t have to settle for a life that doesn’t fulfill you.

Tips for Bringing More Play into Your Life

  • Test Drive Your Dreams: Try out the experiences you’ve always desired, whether it’s test driving a luxury car, taking a weekend house tour, or indulging in a swanky hotel lobby bar for dinner.

  • Design Your Playtime: Set aside dedicated moments for play and fun. Treat it as an essential part of your self-care routine.

  • Explore New Adventures: Be open to new experiences, and don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Your conscious mind will tell you it’s a waste of time.. it’ll think of all the other things you should be doing. Make sure you follow through with these actions!

  • Connect with Others: Play can also be hanging out with the girlfriend who inspires you. You know, the one who you always mean to hang out with but never follow through with making plans? Yea, that one. Hanging out with people who are living a life similar to the one we want can be the ultimate way to inspire us to try on this life for ourselves.

  • Reflect and Visualize: Take time to reflect on your desires and visualize the life you want. Play with the possibilities and embrace your dreams with enthusiasm.

In conclusion, post-divorce life is a chapter filled with opportunities, and meaningful play is your key to unlocking them. Don’t let the fear of the unknown or the burden of responsibilities hold you back. Give yourself permission to play, test-drive your dreams, and design a life that you love. After all, you are worthy of moments of joy and a future that’s truly your own.

So, this week or weekend, I invite you to engage in a moment of fun, trying on the version of yourself that you dream of. It’s your path to post-divorce dream manifestation, and it’s a journey worth embracing.
