No More Playing Small: How to Run Your Life Like a CEO After Divorce

If Your Life Was a Business… Would You Say You’re Leading It?

Alright, my comeback queen, we need to talk.

If your life was a business, would you say you’re running it like a CEO—calling the shots, making power moves, creating a vision for the future?

Or are you just keeping the lights on, taking orders from fear, and waiting for things to magically fall into place?

Press play & listen to this post!

Oof. Let that sit for a second. Because if you’re nodding along, realizing you’ve been playing it safe since your divorce, it’s not because you’re incapable. It’s because no one ever told you that you were built for more.

So let’s get real: Healing is only part of the journey. Taking back control is the next step. And today, I’m breaking down exactly how to start leading your life like a CEO—no more hesitation, no more waiting for permission.

Why Most Women Stay in “Employee Mode” After Divorce

Let’s get one thing straight—most women don’t stay stuck after divorce because they’re lazy.

They stay stuck because divorce shakes up everything. And after riding the emotional rollercoaster of uncertainty, stability becomes a safety blanket—even when it’s not the life you actually want.

So what happens?
👉 You take the “safe” job that doesn’t light you up.
👉 You keep your world small because it feels manageable.
👉 You hesitate to make big decisions because what if you get it wrong?

Sound familiar?

Here’s the truth no one tells you: Most people don’t fail because they go too big. They fail because they stay small.

They wait for clarity instead of creating it.

They let fear call the shots instead of stepping up as the CEO of their own damn life.

But not you. Not anymore.

The Mindset Shift That Will Change Everything

In business, there’s a difference between an entry-level employee and a CEO.

🔹 An employee waits for direction. A CEO creates the vision and makes decisions based on where they want to be.

🔹 An employee plays small to stay safe. A CEO takes bold action to create results.

The same applies to your life.

So ask yourself: Are you leading? Or are you just getting by?

And here’s where it gets really deep… because if you’ve been sitting around waiting for a sign, I have one for you.

What the Bible Actually Says About Women & Leadership

I saw this TikTok the other day, and it absolutely shook me.

It was breaking down the Hebrew meaning of the word helper—you know, the one used in Genesis 2:18 when God says He created women as a “helper” for man.

For years, that word has been watered down—as if women were meant to be assistants, sidekicks, supporting instead of leading.

But guess what? That’s not what the original text says.

The actual Hebrew phrase is Ezer Kenegdo (עֵזֶר כְּנֶגְדּוֹ), and it does NOT mean assistant.

🔥 The same word—Ezer—is used 21 times in the Old Testament, and almost every time, it’s describing God Himself. Not as an assistant, but as a rescuer, a warrior, a protector, a force of power.

Let that sink in.

The same word used for God when He shows up in power to save His people is the same word used for women.

So if you’ve been playing small, doubting whether you’re “qualified” to lead your life, let me be clear:

You were never meant to be in the background. You were built to lead.

What’s Keeping You From Taking the Lead?

If you’ve been stuck, it’s not because you don’t know what to do.

It’s because you’ve been conditioned to:
❌ Doubt your own authority.
❌ Wait for clarity instead of creating it.
❌ Play it safe instead of taking bold action.

So let’s change that.

Here’s your challenge:

Pick ONE decision you’ve been avoiding.

🏡 Is it looking for your own place?
💰 Making a bold financial move?
🚀 Launching that thing you’ve been dreaming about?

👉 MAKE THE DECISION. This week. Not when it’s “perfect.” Not when it “feels right.” Just decide.
