Hi, I’m Christina Cuevas. Seven years ago I went through a divorce and it completely turned my world upside down and I’m so glad it did. I’m here to show you how to dig. The shame around divorce and finally heal so that you can regain the confidence to create your most abundant and joyful future. I’m so glad you’re here. This is her Heart Heals Divorce Radio. So let’s jump right in, shall we? And again, I apologize if my voice sounds a little bit hoarse.

I’m overcoming some kind of weird virus. But anyway, I’ve got some tea right next to me and so hopefully my voice makes it through this episode. But I really wanted to. Jump into hypnosis and my story behind it, my journey in using it. And so with that, I’m gonna be keeping the technical lingo out of this conversation and really just explain it in the way that makes best sense to me.

And so I figured that would also be the easiest way to approach it, especially if hypnosis is new to you. You can also DM me on Instagram and whatever it feels comfortable for you, but let’s chat about it. Let’s go deeper. So I wanted to just start off with what I thought hypnosis was. And for me, the earliest memory I have of hypnosis is like we had a school, uh, auditorium and every now and then the school would bring in like performers or entertainers or speakers to come in and give talks.

And I remember one time they had someone there who was a hypnotist. But like they put people into a hypnotic trance. But a lot of people were just doing silly things. They made people like quack like a duck or leap around like a frog. And so they were doing all of these silly things. And so I think my earliest memory of hypnosis really was kind of like, it was a form of mind control, but it was also like a form of entertainment.

So, And then I think later in life I would watch tv and I think on the TV there was, I don’t know if it was like a like scary type of like TV or content that I was watching, but it was like a therapist or like a psychotherapist and he was like waving that little thing and he was like, you’re getting sleepier and sleepier.

I don’t even know how to explain it, but. That’s kind of the memory that I have with hypnosis, and so again, I really just put it away as like a form of mind control or for people who like, Really had some form of like deep issues. Little did I know I would be one of those ones with the deep issues, but in a much different way, and I’ll explain why in a little bit.

But all in all, I felt like it was borderline woowoo, right? I mean, I don’t know if you all can share the same sentiment, and so for me it was never something that attracted me or anything that I wanted to try. It also felt a little bit dangerous because, you know, I think in one of those, Or things that I was watching, it was like that they got stuck in a trance and they like never came out of it or something.

And so I was a little bit too intense for me. And so I don’t know. How about you let me know if this resonates or if you can remember a time that sort of imprinted what hypnosis looked like for you? So it wasn’t really until I. Got into studying N L P and N L P is an acronym for neurolinguistic programming.

And there I learned all about how we think, how our brain operates. And I learned two, about two really three things though happening for us all at the same time. So we have our conscious mind, we have our subconscious mind, and we have our physical state. And so our conscious mind is really what we use on a daily basis.

It’s how we operate. It’s everything that’s in our mind in like the right now. It controls our actions. It controls everything that we do throughout our daily life, but then we have. The real master, our subconscious and our subconscious is an internal loop of conditioned thoughts or patterns that we condition either ourselves or its conditioned by traumatic events or major events or major milestones in people’s lives.

And habits and thoughts that we also form deeper connections to over time. It’s also, you know, the place that our habits are really built into. And so subconscious is something that is, I would look at it as like a programming, and both of these together deeply affect our physical state of being. So that’s why I have like that third part in there because our physical body also controls and navigates part of that loop, which is the conscious and the subconscious, right?

We can live in our body feeling fight or flight mode. We can be nervous in our body, but it’s also something that can be controlled by our conscious or our subconscious mind. And then the loop continues. So the subconscious mind though, is harder to change because it’s the constant loop playing in our mind that we learn over time these thoughts and ways of being, create these little wrinkles in our brain, if you will.

And I have a really fun analogy that I’m very proud of that we’ll get into in a second. But those wrinkles then become a thought pattern. And then those patterns just play out on this loop subconsciously while our cho brain and dictates our day. And so the analogy that I started to get into when I thought about how I was going to explain hypnosis and our subconscious mind and all of that, and ladies, I know you will get me.

Especially if you’re older than 30, I know that you’re gonna get me. So as you know, as we age, we get wrinkles on our face or wherever. And you know that feeling when you put makeup on. And then like at the end of the day, the makeup falls into like the ridge of the wrinkle, if you know, you know, like. I don’t think I need to explain anymore.

Everybody’s probably like, yeah, I know exactly what you’re talking about. That is like what happens with our subconscious mind over time. It forms into the wrinkle and just think of the thoughts going in, like as if it was makeup sinking into like the fine line. And that forms a pattern. So like those thoughts just sort of melt into that wrinkle, and that’s how those thoughts just continue on this loop.

There’s no stopping it. And so what I learned in my own hypnosis journey and eventually becoming a certified hypnotherapist, Is that it’s through hypnosis that we’re able to quickly access and tap into our subconscious and work on softening those wrinkles or softening those fine lines. So here’s the analogy that I’m really, really proud of.

Hypnosis is like Botox, hear me up. Sounds wacky. But Botox kicks in in like, what is it, five or seven days or something like that. And when it kicks in, it is like on, it is like your face becomes frozen. Everything just seems like more lifted and it’s like instant. It just kicks in and you see the full effect.

It maximizes its full effect in that short amount of time. Or you can use an expensive wrinkle cream or a cream that’s like targeted for wrinkles, and it maybe takes like 60 to 90 days of consistent use to even begin to see the effects. So hopefully that analogy makes sense because that is the difference between using hypnosis to quickly access your subconscious.

Or just trying to work on reprogramming and like reframing some of those thought patterns that can take a lot longer. So it, I’m not saying that it’s impossible. It is absolutely not. You can 100%. Change your thinking, change your life fully without hypnosis. Hypnosis though is just like the Botox. It’s a way to access something that isn’t something that’s normally natural for us.

Because a lot of times we are, you know, in our conscious mind, we are thinking about the next thing and go, go, go and action and all these things. And so it’s a lot harder to access your subconscious and really, really work on it. So just imagine what it would do for you to speed up the healing of some of these thought patterns and these stories that play on autopilot for years or even decades in your life.

Think of what you would be able to actually accomplish. Without having those mental roadblocks, keeping you stuck. Like it’s crazy because we truly are like our own worst enemy. We are in our own way most of the time. And so when we can bypass that, I’m like, okay, sign me up. So when I heard about this very specific vortex method of hypnosis, I was like, I gotta try this.

I need this in my life because I’m busy. I have a lot going on. I am already trying to like do the most in life, and so I just need that extra bit of help to help me reprogram it. And so as I was going through and really exploring hypnosis before I discovered this method, you know, I discovered a lot of ways that were not as appealing, right?

So there is absolutely a wrong way to approach hypnosis. You do have to be consistent at it, so it is something that you have to form a habit of doing. And with that, most hypnosis experts are live sessions, and it could be pretty cost costly. You have to coordinate your schedule, you have to coordinate your time.

You gotta commit to it so it can be a little bit impractical. You also have to find someone who can really give you the result that you’re looking for. A lot of hypnotherapist are very specific in solving like the problem. Like if you wanna quit smoking, you can go and get hypnosis for that, no problem.

If you wanna quit drinking, you can do that. And so it’s very, very targeted towards a specific problem. And so to really expand your mind and not only target your limiting beliefs and target several of them at the same time, but to also call in things that you wanna attract and things that you wanna manifest, game changer.

So what if I told you that when we work together, not only can we tackle multiple negative thought patterns, but we can also introduce new thought patterns while dripping in those very specific and very special manifestations while you’re already in that deep state. So that it also impacts your physical state, so that when you’re done with your hypnosis session, you are ready to take action in a positive way.

Such a game changer, right? I mean, it was for me and the thing that made it really special is that we work together and I actually make a custom audio track made just for you. We have a very deep intensive session where you and I really target and focus and outline. A lot of the root issues that you’re seeing.

And then we also go into things that you want to create, things that you wanna call in for yourself, things that you wanna bring forth in your life, and then I take all of that information, I process it in a way that is tailored specifically to you. I clear my energy out and I actually call in. A whole new energetic system as I’m creating this track just for you, and the music that’s playing in the background is also different frequencies to help you go into a deeper state.

So that the words that I’m saying to you are resonating on a very deep, deep level. I’m so passionate about that. I’m so excited to even begin to offer this to the, her Heart Heals community. Just because I know that most of us who have gone through divorce are left with a lot of trauma and a lot of triggers, and divorce impacts so many areas of our lives. It’s difficult to heal some of those patterns that we create, and on top of just even rebuilding our lives, which can make us feel like it’s, we can barely keep our head above water.

It’s also getting control of who we are in the world and having to go back in and heal and then also manifest, and then also like hold it down at home and hold it down at work. It’s crazy. It’s a lot. I know because that was me and it still is me. I’m still holding it down. I’ve still got a million things going, and so I know the value of a tool like this.

That can really be such a game changer for us women as we try to navigate this world on our own because it’s until we heal those patterns that we can truly transform and create this new version of happiness for ourselves. So I’m really, really passionate about bringing this to the divorce community.

And you know, a little disclaimer. I mean, look behind everything we do have to put action. We can have all the tools in the world, but if we don’t take aligned action, then nothing changes. So this is a way, as I mentioned earlier, that hypnosis really helps to. Work with your subconscious so that it could change your conscious and ultimately change your physical action.

So hopefully this is also a way to help motivate you to take action if you’ve been holding back, if you’ve been not sure what your next steps are going to be, this really helps you connect with your deeper self. And I just love this practice so much. So hopefully. I was able to share a little bit about my own journey with hypnosis, what I thought it was, what it actually is.
